We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Software Engineer to join our team!

Description:

This position is a development position on program supporting a production product, and will work on a scrum team tasked with development and maintenance of the current and planned capabilities. Successful candidates for this position will have training (BS) in a science or technology related discipline, multiple years of experience in software engineering, and previous experience working within a team environment utilizing Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or other agile software methodologies and processes. The ideal candidate will also have experience with at least one of JavaScript (front-end frameworks preferred), Java, or the Python programming languages. Candidate is expected to collaborate cross-functionally with subcontractors, local engineers, and geographically dispersed teammates.

Requirements:

• Title: Software Engineer
• Level: Junior Software Engineer to Senior Software Engineer
• Education Minimums: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Master’s degree. Considered career, or journey, level.

Desired Skills:

• Minimum 3-7 years of software development experience including experience with at least one of these languages: JavaScript (front-end frameworks preferred), Java, or Python.
• Prior experience working with one or more of the following environments and applications: Red Had Linux, Postgres, AWS, and Apache
• Experience working on a Development team within SAFe or other Agile Release Trains
• Experience with Angular and/or Angular.JS
• Experience with Git and contributing to open source projects
• Demonstrated experience working across multiple teams and job functions; bridging both sustainment and enhancement priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, collaborative team environment
• Location: ~50% Remote, Ashburn VA, Herndon VA

Security Clearance Required: Minimum Secret require to start, with the ability to obtain Top Secret

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $81,305.63 - $177,916.45 per year
