Position Summary:

We are seeking a talented web developer to join our engineering team for a summer internship to lead the creation and improvement of company intranet sites and web-based applications, focusing on user-friendly interfaces. The ideal candidate is a proactive and enthusiastic learner, eager to expand their skills!

• Opportunity to start sooner (in March, April, or early May)
• This internship is fully remote

Required Skills / Competencies:

• 
  A portfolio of web development projects that showcase your skills and abilities
• Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment and exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to effectively speak, read, and write in English for various reports
• Be a team member and work well with others
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS
• Experience with responsive design and mobile optimization
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, communication, and teamwork skills
• A strong eye for visual design and composition
• Passion for intuitive UI design

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• 
  Building company intranet sites and web-based applications
• Delivering web-based platforms and products across multiple departments
• Designing responsive layouts for mobile, tablet, and desktop devices
• Regularly validating and testing to ensure the quality of external and internal interfaces
• Performing other related duties as assigned

Education and Experience

Ideally, you’ll pursue a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. In addition:

• 
  Pursuing an Undergraduate (rising Junior or rising Senior) or Graduate degree in Computer Science or a similar field
• Experience in MS Word and Excel
• Experience with HTML and CSS
