Who Are We Looking For?

As a Senior Product Manager, your goal is to originate, execute, and measure missions for our Leasing domain that ensure the long-term success of the AppFolio Property Manager (APM) product and product development teams in quickly delivering delightful experiences for all our customers. You will bring an analytical perspective to evaluating trade-offs, customer/business value and ROI. In partnership with product development leaders, you will contribute to opportunity & risk assessments to inform business cases and strategic-fit of product priorities. You will align your teams toward the APM vision and create urgency for your initiatives to contribute toward annual business goals and customer outcomes.

What You’ll Do

• Define the 3-year vision for your domain with key outcomes and clear success criteria that contribute to achieving overall APM goals
• Work closely with product development teams, customers, and stakeholders to deliver on Leasing domain product development outcomes.
• Define experiments and measure user behavior to inform prioritization and build-outs
• Ensure internal stakeholders are aligned on strategic fit, opportunity & risks, success metrics and key milestones
• Participate and drive build, buy, partner opportunities in your domain and evangelize your vision and how it contributes to the success of the overall APM product strategy
• Be acknowledged as an expert in property management and product management.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years experience taking high-tech products and technologies to market
• A keen sense of business – the ability to understand market trends and consumer requirements, build business cases to justify your analysis, and design and prioritize features to fit the market needs.
• Leadership - Proven experience leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
• Strong in product analytics - you measure user behavior and make data-informed decisions; experience with product analytics tools, statistical analysis, data science a plus
• Strong executor and driver across multiple fronts; self-starter, speed oriented, comfortable making decisions and running with them
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Fast learner and ability to self-teach
• Desire to grow
• Team player - you do what’s necessary to make the team successful
• You’re interested in multi-team efforts in the future or present
• Experience with property management, reporting features or Revenue Management is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits
The base salary that we reasonably expect to pay for this role is: 136,000 - 204,000.

The actual base salary for this role will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to: the candidate’s skills, education, experience, etc.

Please note that base pay is one important aspect of a compelling Total Rewards package. The base pay range indicated here does not include any additional benefits or bonuses/commissions that you may be eligible for based on your role and/or employment type.
