The Senior Staff Software Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining software used internally by employees used to meet the company’s business needs. This includes maintaining and improving in-house developed or customized software, and databases, as well as integrations between various applications such as Oracle Cloud, Salesforce and JIRA. This role independently evaluates, selects, and applies standard software programming, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making adaptations and modifications. In this position, the professional works in collaboration with the other departments to develop new customized solutions to meet the business’s needs.

The Senior Staff Software Developer is an on-site role located in San Jose, CA.

• Demonstrated ability to understand the business user’s needs, document, and confirm requirements.
• Develops a project plan that can be clearly articulated to and understood by the business users.
• Designs and implements algorithms and flowcharts to create new database and software programs and systems that meet specifications/user requirements.
• Maintains and upgrades existing systems, databases, and applications to ensure the business requirements are met or exceeded.
• Creates new and upgraded existing reports, dashboards, and analysis for use with Company’s enterprise resource planning system (e.g., using BI Publisher, Orbit, Office 365 tools etc.).
• Creates technical documents for new software and upgrades.
• Builds Salesforce customized solutions and automated administrative tasks, Creating data integration between Salesforce and other systems such as Marketo, Oracle EBS and ERP Cloud.
• Defines software test plans and provides test data to support the release of new upgraded software.
• Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of multiple factors.
• Proposes well-substantiated technical approaches to resolve complex problems.
• Develops and carry out efficient plans to implement technical solutions.
• Develops new metrics to evaluate the performance of a technical approach/solution to a problem
• Follows engineering processes such as document control, design control, tracking systems and recognize situations in which the processes should be used and understands the interactions between the systems.
• Clearly documents and presents the results of the designs and investigations to a broad company audience.
• This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

• B.S. required in Software Engineering or relevant discipline and a minimum of 8 years of related experience in either industry or academia, or a M.S. degree and a minimum of 8 years related experience, or a Ph.D. with a minimum of 5 years related experience.
• 8 + years of programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C#.
• 8+ years of database administration and development experience. Familiarity with Oracle database design, coding, and documentation is a plus. Knowledge and experience of database backup procedures are required.
• 5+ years of Salesforce administration and experience developing in Apex, VitalSource, Lightning Web Components, and other technologies to build Salesforce customized solutions.
• Good communication skills. Clearly document and present the results of the designs and investigations.
• Must demonstrate an ability to plan projects and meet timelines. Work output must be high-quality and meet the user’s requirements.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $140,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
