Job Title: Sr. Systems Engineer (Virtualization/Windows)

Job Overview:

NETARYX is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Systems Engineer to join our team on a 6-month contract with the potential to convert to a full-time employee thereafter. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Citrix and VMware virtualization technologies, as well as Microsoft Server administration, including Active Directory and Exchange.

As a Sr. Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and implementing systems solutions for our customers, as well as assisting with escalated post-deployment support. This will include installing, configuring, and managing virtualization technologies such as Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, VMware ESXi/vSphere, and Nutanix AHV, as well as architecting and administering Windows Server and Active Directory environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, install, configure, and manage Citrix application and desktop virtualization technologies (Virtual Apps and Desktops, previously XenApp/XenDesktop and Citrix Gateway/NetScaler)
• Design, install, configure, and manage server virtualization technologies, including Nutanix AHV and VMware vSphere
• Administer Windows Server and Active Directory environments, including architecting and executing domain consolidations and moves
• Assist with the upgrade, consolidation, and conversion of small business domain environments into larger hosted infrastructure
• Assist with the administration of Exchange environments
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Ensure the security and integrity of systems and data.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure the smooth operation of the IT infrastructure.
• Develop and implement procedures for backup and recovery of systems and data.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in systems administration with a focus on Citrix and VMware virtualization technologies.
• Strong experience with virtualized apps and desktops, including thin client deployments
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory administration.
• Experience with network protocols and troubleshooting network connectivity issues.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Citrix Certified Engineer/Architect, VMware Certified Professional) are a plus.
