Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) is currently seeking civil engineering graduates with 0-2 years to work as a Staff Geotechnical Engineer in our Construction Observation & Testing (COT) group in Quakertown, PA. This is an excellent opportunity to work with, and be mentored by, experienced PE's on a wide variety of projects.

Geotechnical Staff Engineer Responsibilities Include:

• Earthwork, foundation, and construction materials observation and testing
• Subsurface investigations including borings and test pits, reviewing exploration logs, lab results, and plans
• Coordinate aspects of drilling projects
• Coordinate and review lab testing
• Support senior staff in design and preparation of plans for retaining walls and other structures
• Calculate bearing capacity, settlement, earth pressures, pavement section design, and slope stability
• Preparation of reports

Outstanding upward mobility to Assistant Project Manager and Project Manager roles within our COT group. If geotechnical engineering is your passion, we have opportunities in that group as well.

Job Requirements:

• BS Degree in Civil Engineering
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• CADD experience preferred
