Vendor Account Research Specialist

Accurately analyze, verify, and approve operational transactions for vendors in multiple platforms. Responsible for performing various agent billing research as well as agent invoice and fee approval tasks to accurately analyze, verify, research and approve transactions in Primeritus Financial Services operating and accounting systems, including IBEAM, IRIS, RDN and SkipPro.

• Review repossession transactions for accuracy and compliance with existing agent contracts/ agreements.
• Review transactions for reasonableness in relation to charging clients for services rendered.
• Ensure agent payable transactions are processed timely in order to maximize financial results.
• Communicate with repossession agents daily, via email, phone, or system portal, to confirm charges, validate repossession and ancillary fees, and ensure proper documentation exists.
• Communicate transaction errors and corrections to PFS operating personnel as necessary.
• Monitor team email box and provide timely responses on agent invoice past due research inquiries and communicate with agency until full completion of inquiry which may include communicating with other departments or subsidiaries until full completion.
• Other duties, as assigned.

Job Requirements

• HS Diploma is required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Bookkeeping, Accounting, Business Administration, or similar from an accredited college or university is preferred.
• Knowledge of and ability to apply general rules of accounting principles and procedures (GAAP)
• Working knowledge of vehicle repossession procedures and practices preferred
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, along with a professional demeanor and presentation.
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and possess strong analytical, administrative, organizational, and time management skills.
• Must be proficient in the use of office equipment along with intermediate MS Office Suite skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of / experience with state and federal rules and regulations pertaining to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), Fair Debt Collections Practices Act (FDCPA), and the Gramm-Leach – Bliley Act (GLBA) preferred.

The position is sedentary and requires sitting for long periods of time while working on a computer or using other office equipment. The employee must occasionally lift or move items up to 30+ pounds.
