Position Description: Video Operator Technician
Reports to: Engineer in Charge
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Supervisory Responsibility: No
Overview Gravity Media is seeking a Video Operator Technician with proven experience as a broadcast shader, video engineer and technician. This is not a content or creative position. You will play a key role on the technical team and will deliver network level visual results during live broadcasts over as many as seven cameras simultaneously.
You must have demonstrated knowledge and high level, hands-on experience with broadcast camera equipment, including complete camera chains. Detailed understanding of color correction and color matching for broadcast and the ability to convey that understanding as it relates to lighting is vital. Your understanding of waveform monitors should be exceptional and your ability to communicate their use is a must. Prior experience in the installation, programming and maintenance of production and broadcast equipment and related IT and IP hardware is a bonus. The Video Operator will work closely with the Engineer in Charge and the rest of the
Gravity Media team to ensure the flawless execution of live broadcasts. To be successful on this team, you will be able to adapt to changing priorities and have the ability to solve technical and operational problems independently and under pressure.
