EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: Midwest Food Bank (MFB) is a $430M non-profit organization with ten divisions in the U.S. and two operations internationally. MFB operates with $67M in assets and an annual organizational operating budget of $15M to distribute over $430M in food and disaster relief food boxes to 2,100 agencies. The MFB Graphic Artist Volunteer will be responsible for supporting Graphic Commnications for all MFB Divisions and the Central Team.

QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with Adobe InDesign, PhotoShop, and Illustrator. Volunteer will be asked to use their own computer and software. Must be creative while working within the MFB style guidelines and develop content aligned with the MFB Mission and Vision. Ideally willing to commit time during the working day for brief meetings to review progress and projects. Work can be done offsite or at Midwest Food Bank. Volunteers contributing a minimum of 3-hours / week is ideal. Must be a champion of the MFB mission, our volunteers and agencies.

BASIC FUNCTIONS: The MFB Graphic Artist Volunteer leverages the MFB Brand guidelines and the communication plans and fundraising event strategy. This role will provide critical creative content to advance the MFB Brand. The volunteer will utilize design criteria provided by MFB Divisions to develop pieces for marketing brochures, fundraising events, facility signage, and more.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Meet with internal “customers” to have the necessary information to create materials.
• Develop materials from concept through finished project.
• Maintain contact with MFB Communications Manager during process.
• Engage in a Christ-centered culture, building relationships and appreciation for employees and volunteers
