We are looking for a reliable Handyman to undertake upkeep and repair tasks at the interior or exterior of company premises. Receiving furniture and placing in showroom, following direction of store manager and visual merchandising team is key. We will rely on you to keep our facilities in perfect condition by doing various odd jobs. Deft hands and technical knowledge are important parts of a handyman’s arsenal. You must be well-organized with strong general repair skills. Excellent communication skills, finesse and courtesy are necessary for this valued position. A keen eye for detail and physical stamina are valued greatly in this job.

Responsibilities

• Receive furniture and all product into warehouse
• Perform maintenance and light repairs
• Perform routine landscaping on the grounds
• Paint and fill gaps or crevices (on walls, sidewalks etc.)
• Undertake light installation or assembly (e.g. build product )
• Assist tradespeople with electrical, plumbing or HVAC repairs
• Undertake duties as assigned or emergency tasks
• Identify and report the need for major repairs
• Wrapping accessories and furniture for transport
• Follow a daily cleaning routine to include trash removal, vacuuming, sweeping and dusting
• Hang artwork on walls
• Repair, patch and paint walls with merchandising moves

Skills

• Proven experience as handyman
• Experience with computers and software
• Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment
• Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing or HVAC systems
• Basic math skills
• Good communication ability
• Well-organized and apt in problem-solving
• Attention to detail
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must successfully pass a background check , drug screening and have a clean driving record
