Thompson First Group is seeking a Forklift Operator for a local client in Elkton, MD.

Candidates with a background working in production, manufacturing, warehouse or a background operating forklifts are encouraged to apply.

Description of Duties/Responsibilities

• Efficiently sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight
• Use appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including pallet jack, forklift and by hand
• Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies
• Work in a safe, efficient manner, adhering to company safety policies
• Use mobile handheld devices to scan and track shipments
• Unload and upload material
• Identify damages
• Report quality deficiencies
• Transport raw materials to production workstations
• Keep updated records of inventory
• Produce activity logs
• Comply with company policies and guidelines
• Assist in keeping a safe environment
