The Kyrio Wireless team manages labs that test wireless products (Wi-Fi, 5G). We work with global companies in the wireless ecosystem. We are looking for Software Development Intern excited to learn and work with cutting edge wireless technologies.

Learning Objective:

As part of this role the intern will be working with wireless test engineers and will learn to test wireless products. The Software Development wireless engineer will be working on databases, analytics, and software to automate the tests. The internship is suitable for students of computer science.

Responsibilities:

• Develop test plans and test cases to validate requirements.
• Automating root cause analysis of RF/wireless issues encountered with devices under test in the lab, at test houses and on networks.
• Understand and administer wireless test equipment.
• Additional knowledge of networking and wireless protocols is desired to understand and process datasets into meaningful visualizations and performance metrics.
• Develop automated tests and report generation.
• Projects will be associated with tests done in the Wi-Fi and 5G lab.

Required Skills:

• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-directed and able to work without supervision
• Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas
• Experience with data filtering, data validation, and ETL pipelines
• Understanding of statistical analysis (uncertainty, significance, relevance etc.)
• Can produce written documentation.
• Software development and scripting skills
  • Python - fluent
  • Flask, Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, python-docx. regex (general pattern matching), json dump/load, os/sys/glob/shutil etc., JavaScript + JQuery – intermediate, HTML + CSS – intermediate, SQL – familiarity, PostgreSQL, oracledb

Required Experience:

• Computer Science major (Graduate student preferred). Familiarity with data networking (OSI model, protocols, routing, and switching)
• Experience using data visualization tools such as Pandas, matplotlib, Excel, etc.

Working conditions and physical requirements:
This job operates in a professional office and lab environment. This role routinely uses standard office and lab equipment. May be required to lift, move and transport equipment and/or materials up to 25lbs.
