Job Summary:

The Accounting Manager will plan and direct the accounting activities of the department set forth by company directives.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

· Manages day-to-day operational tasks assigned to the accounting staff who are responsible for financial reporting, reconciling of accounting and field service software programs, account receivables, accounts payables, time keeping, payroll, KPI’s and budget preparation.

· Participates in the recruiting and hiring of accounting staff and conducts performance evaluations.

· Coordinates training programs for new staff and identifies training needs for current staff.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Establishes policies and procedures for internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation utilizing the RACI chart matrix.

· Preparation of business activity reports (KPI’s), financial forecasts, and annual budgets.

· Preparation of the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.

· Review of AR collections and implementation of accounts put on hold.

· Reconciling all accounting practices

· Analyze overtime adjustments

· Oversee WIP adjustments

· Assure all invoicing has been perform in conjunction to service software data

· Presents recommendations to management on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.

· Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.

· Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

· Training at other Louisiana regional offices may require traveling

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Excellent management and supervisory skills.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Excellent organizational and time management skills.

· Proficient in accounting and tax preparation software.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

· Proficient in QuickBooks

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.

· Five years or more of related experience required.

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $54,059.11 - $125,264.39 per year
