Role Summary:

The Accounting Specialist's responsibilities include maintaining financial records and reports, performing account reconciliations, and assisting with close processes. The Accounting Specialist will assist the Controller and Assistant Controller as needed and respond to information requests by management and for auditing purposes. This position reports to the Assistant Controller.

To be successful as an Accounting Specialist, you should be able to accurately maintain a general ledger and ensure compliance with accounting principles. An outstanding Accounting Specialist should also have excellent communication, organizational, and problem solving skills.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

· Maintain financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts

· Prepare journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assist with monthly close processes

· Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations

· Meet processing and reporting deadlines

· Respond to ad hoc information requests from management and assist with audit requests

· Ensure compliance with accounting principles

· Solve routine accounting and reporting problems as needed

Required Education, Skills & Experience:

· Associate’s degree in accounting preferred

· 2+ years of accounting, finance, or related experience

· Working knowledge of accounting principles

· Experience using intermediate Excel skills to create analysis

· Grower accounting experience is a plus but not required

Pay: $24.00 - $29.00 per hour
