Accounting Specialist – Job Posting

We’re looking for an Accounting Specialist to add to our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for but not limited to, matching invoices to purchase orders, data entry and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R).

Key Responsibilities Include but not Limited to:

• Oversee basic accounting procedures (A/R, A/P, time billing, P/R, G/L, tax payments and inventory control)
• Monitor and review all records of assets, liabilities, and other financial transitions
• Perform all basic accounting procedures, financial statement preparation, month end closing, journal entries and general ledger maintenance, inventory roll forwards, and fixed assets and margin analysis; prepare supporting schedules for financial statements preparation
• Communicate with customers to address any past due invoices on their account and provide status updates to management
• Review, analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts and investment transactions in conjunction with preparing reports for management
• Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or business-related field preferred
• Three to five years of accounting experience required
• Experience with financial planning software
• Natural proficiency with math
• Knowledge of basic financial, tax, and accounting principles
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency with office productivity applications and aptitude for learning new systems
• Ability to apply discretion, and trust with confidential company information

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shift
