Accounts Receivable/Payable Clerk

Seashore Foods Distributor is seeking an Accounts Receivable/Payable Clerk to help process, track, and record payments in an accurate, efficient, and timely matter. Prior experience required.

Primary responsibilities

• Accounts Receivable clerk should perform daily cash management duties of cash receipt logs, and posting to the sub-ledger.
• Maintain Accounts Receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, credits and collections are applied.
• Strengthen and grow relationships with clients by communicating with customers regarding past-due accounts.
• Accounts Receivable Clerk should maintain up-to-date billing system.
• Carry out billing, collection and reporting activities according to specific deadlines
• Accounts Receivable Clerk should perform account reconciliations.
• Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities.
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies.
• Generate age analysis.
• Maintain accounts receivable customer files and records.
• Follow established procedures for processing receipts, cash etc.
• Accounts Receivable Clerk should prepare bank deposits.
• Investigate and resolve customer queries.
• Accounts Receivable Clerk should process adjustments.
• Communicate with customers via phone, email, mail or personally.
• Assist with month-end closing.
• Collect data and prepare monthly metrics.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Requirements

• Good computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Internet and e-mail.
• Good Verbal and Written communication skills.
• Accounts Receivable/Payable Clerk experience preferred but not required.
