Here’s a snapshot of what we want you to do:

The UI Design Intern is a key member of the Mobile Development Team. You will be responsible for creating high fidelity designs in Figma based on business requirements and wireframe mock-ups as provided by the Product department at Evosus. You will work closely with the Executive VP of Product Development to understand our customers’ needs and our Balsamiq mock-ups. You will translate these requirements into user-friendly mobile app designs that have a consistent look and feel across all our mobile applications. You will also assist in the creation of theming packages and widgets in the Flutter environment mobile developers use for our apps.

• Develop high-fidelity Figma designs based on requirements and mock-ups.
• Assist in creation of theming packages and widgets that can be used across our mobile apps.
• Clearly and regularly communicate with management, development team, product management, and QA to understand the business requirements and processes.
• Collaborate with team members to understand the needs of the development team and incorporate those requirements into designs.
• Create technical documentation for reference

Plus these Required Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of demonstrable experience
• Demonstrable portfolio of completed UI designs
• Knowledge of industry best practices for UI design
• Experience with Figma

Preferred Qualifications:

• College degree or 4 years of demonstrable experience
• Experience with specialty retail or field service businesses
• Experience with business logic and processes
• Knowledge of Dart/Flutter programming languages

This is a hybrid position working from your home and our office. When working from our corporate headquarters in Vancouver, Washington you’ll be in a professional office environment that’s easily accessible. We are located less than a mile from I-5, and across the street from a natural grocery store, a brewery, and many local restaurants.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a non-exempt part-time position. Company work days are Monday through Friday, but specific hours will be set by your manager. The employee may also be required to work extended hours or weekends in order to meet deadlines.
