Description:

Job Summary

A Service Advisor initiates automotive services and repairs by communicating with customers to ascertain performance problems and services requested. In addition, they verify warranty and service contract coverage, develop estimates, write repair orders, and maintain customer rapport and records.

Specific Job-Related Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting suggested services in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
• Utilize the walk-around process to increase customer awareness of vehicle condition and build rapport.
• Generate service order estimates/quotes for customers
• Schedule appointments and maintain an organized schedule
• Conduct post-repair follow up
• Resolve customer complaints
• Maintain value, quality, and integrity
• Other tasks as assigned

General Company-Related Duties and Responsibilities

• Report to work when scheduled and follow company standards.
• Maintain an appropriate degree of professionalism towards customers and coworkers.

Requirements:

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Leadership experience
• Service Advisor experience preferred
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work efficiently with limited supervision
• Strong Computer & Phone Skills (Internet, Google, Microsoft, and NAPA TRACS)
• Experience with automotive software preferred
• Professional appearance and work ethic
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work within a fast-paced environment
• Current, valid driver’s license required
• Candidate must be able to regularly lift and move up to 50lbs/23kg and occasionally lift and move up to 100lbs/45kg.
• Willingness to work the required schedule, submit to a background screening (to include criminal checks, past employment, and education), the ability to pass a drug screen

Working Conditions

SALARY BASED ON EXPERIENCE

The employee will work indoors and outdoors in an auto shop environment.
