The Role

As a Carrier Procurement Representative you will source, negotiate and secure carriers to move available freight in a timely and cost-effective manner. On this team you will have the support to excel at work, and the opportunity to build a rewarding career.

Each day will be different, yet a typical day will include:

• Cultivate strong core carrier relationships while negotiating and securing carriers to move freight
• Maintain continuous communication with carriers and customers to ensure a high-quality freight movement process
• Ensure all parties are informed of route changes, delays, freight concerns or other issues as necessary
• Multi-tasking, prioritizing and problem solving as issues arise
• Keeping things organized and tracking important information

• Procurement experience an asset
• Transportation experience an asset
• High energy and a positive attitude
• Hard working and self motivated
• Love to jump on the phone and get stuff done
• Tech Savvy - not afraid of new software and have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products
