Overview / Responsibilities:
Wood is currently recruiting for a Graduate or Entry Level Civil / Structural Engineer to work at our Park Ten Office in Houston, TX

Local candidates preferred as there is no relocation assistance or per diem. Authorization to work permanently in the U.S. without sponsorship required.

Contributes to project technical delivery through:
  • Assisting in the development of engineering deliverables including reports, specifications, calculations and drawings
  • Performing limited assignments of specific engineering tasks, contributing to a minor phase of a larger project
  • Applying academic knowledge to job responsibilities under close supervision of a more experienced engineer
  • Solves problems of a routine nature within clearly defined procedures, with ready access to support and guidance
Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering discipline
  • Graduate level understanding of Engineering practices, design methods and calculations
  • Able to apply the theory in a practical context
  • Able to comprehend and interpret technical information applicable to the assignment / task
  • Able to create functional and cost effective designs that meet project requirements with support
  • Able to understand and interpret civil / structural drawings
  • Good level of general computer literacy and some basic familiarity with relevant engineering software
  • Proactive in communicating across work groups to resolve barriers
  • Conducts work in a professional manner
  • Good interpersonal and team working skills, builds positive relationships
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Creative and innovative in finding solutions
  • Enthusiastic, conscientious, and committed to continuous professional development
  • High level of awareness and commitment to safety in all aspects of daily work
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
