Director of Operations and Product Management

Summary

The Director of Operations and Product Management will design the process, metrics, and workflows that will improve how we onboard our customers and ensure quality and consistency as we scale. As we expand our customer portfolio, this person will determine how we approach implementing all customers. This position will serve as a point of escalation and a relationship driver for our largest customers, while closely managing the internal team. Additionally, the role will set the product vision and strategy for the Beacon Product Portfolio. This role will define a new product vision, create roadmaps that execute that vision, and drive cross-functional collaboration and alignment with internal stakeholders.

Core Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage the operations of our Shared Services group which includes Business Analysts and provides support for Implementations
  • Work with domestic Business Analysts and Account Management to coordinate all client information / requirements gathering
  • Ensure all client Service Levels are met and exceeded
  • Work closely with Account Management to ensure client satisfaction goals are exceeded

PRODUCT DELIVERY & IMPLEMENTATION:

  • Direct SaaS implementations.
  • Research, review, and analyze the effectiveness of the current implementation process.
  • Provide support, guidance and credible reassurance to customers during the implementation phase.
  • Coordinate quality assurance and regression testing.
  • Manage system releases and upgrades.

PRODUCT MANAGEMENT

  • Partner with Beacon leaders to define and execute on the entire lifecycle of Beacon’s SaaS product strategy and roadmap with the goal of delivering industry-leading solutions across the healthcare continuum.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Beacon’s product users and processes necessary to develop requirements for a suite of solutions that enhance Beacon’s strategy.
  • Define product release plans, priorities, and schedules; align key groups to the release plans.
  • Translate consumer needs into new / enhanced product features for Engineering and UX teams to design.
  • Identify opportunities to grow Beacon’s capabilities while providing consistent delivery and stable operations.
  • Work with business and technology leaders to assess and balance current needs while identifying and developing innovative solutions that support cutting-edge software.
  • Partner with Engineering, User Experience, and Design (UI/UX) teams to prioritize investment in capabilities and guide resources to deliver Beacon’s vision.
  • Manage communications with users to announce product issues, technology changes, and release plans.

Experience and Education

  • 10+ years of strategic roles in business operations.
  • 10+ years of experience managing SaaS Implementations.
  • 5+ years of experience managing product lifecycles and requirements
  • Ability to create a vision and building to scale, from concept to execution - including areas such as partnership development, operational planning, business development, etc.
  • Experience with building and leading high-performing, thoughtful, and action-oriented teams and developing team members within the function to build their careers
  • Entrepreneurial experience or interest, with ability to work through very dynamic and ambiguous situations to bring clarity to problems and an action orientation to teams
  • A strong internal partnership approach -- low-ego, proactive and intellectual curious, and flexible in arriving at solutions that benefit the business and our people
  • Base working knowledge of SQL databases.
  • Understanding of software development and Agile methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of the healthcare industry (Medicaid, Medicare, and Commercial) and understanding of related compliance and quality aspects
  • Experience with Visio or MindMap to buildout workflows and processes
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a technical major.
  • MBA or Technical Master’s degree is strongly desired (or attainment of Director level).
  • US citizen or a Green Card holder – must be able to obtain appropriate HIPAA clearances and pass a rigorous background check.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $125,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
