POSITION SUMMARY

The Electrical Engineer position is full-time, includes great benefits, and is available in Grand Junction, CO. The role involves transportation system design, research and development, and commissioning of PLCs, HMIs, and AC drives and motors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

o Generate required hardware design schematics, wiring diagrams, and inventories

o Develop and customize application software and documentation.

o Develop user’s and operations manuals for equipment supplied.

o Perform commissioning and debugging for intermediate to complex machine applications.

o Provide technical expertise, support and enhancement of automation related systems, and implement required updates to avoid technical obsolescence.

o Demonstrates continuous commitment to identifying problems and improving our ability to deliver a superior product to our customers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

o Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, electrical, mechanical, or computer science from an ABET accredited engineering school.

o Valid driver’s license and able to travel internationally

o Currently able to work in the United States with English proficiency

o Ability to lift and carry loads of up to 50lbs

o Work in indoor and outdoor environments during the summer and winter

o Work at high altitudes

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

o Licensed P.E. or completion of the EIT and desire to become a Professional Engineer

o 5 years’ experience with Microsoft Office.

o 3 years’ design background, including Electrical CAD systems and database management

o 2 years’ experience in integrated automation and information systems in a manufacturing environment

o 2 years’ experience with Rockwell Software

o 2 years’ experience with DC and/or AC drives and motors

o Exposure to Python, C++, JAVA and/or PHP Programming Languages

o Exposure to National Electrical Code (NEC) and Arc-Flash (NFPA-70)

Salary starting at $50,000 a year (depending on experience of candidate)
