Senior Full Stack Developer

Location: Remote (the candidates must reside within 4 hours driving distance from Ashburn, VA)

Job Description

The qualified candidate will ensure that these components and the overall application are robust and easy to maintain. He/She will coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is important.

o Developing new user-facing features using Angular
o Upgrading legacy JSP monolithic applications to Microservice Architecture
o Upgrading Angular JS to latest Angular
o Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
o Translating designs and wireframes into high quality code
o Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers

Basic Qualifications
o BS/BA degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or a Masters with 6+ years ; OR 6 years of experience in lieu of degree
o 2-3 years’ experience developing cloud ready applications and/or experience migrating applications to the cloud
o Must be able to maintain and obtain a CBP Background Investigation prior to start
o Thorough understanding of React & Angular, and their core principles
o Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
o Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux)
o Experience with data structure libraries (e.g., Immutable.js)
o Familiarity with RESTful APIs
o Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token
o Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools
o Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
o Experience with common back-end Java development, Spring development

Desired Qualifications

o 2+ years of exposure to cloud migration and development efforts contained within cloud migration efforts
o Experience with TDD or BDD testing and working with Selenium or similar testing platform
o Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
o Knowledge of Agile Framework (JIRA, Confluence)

Clearance Requirement: Ability to obtain and hold a public trust position and favorable suitability based on a CBP Background Investigation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
