Job Title: Graphic Artist/Prepress Technician - OH Miamisburg Facility

Classification: Nonexempt

Department: OH Art/Prepress

Reports to: Digital Production Manager

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:30 am – 4:30 pm

Job Description

· Develop original or modify customer supplied art for use in, Screen, Flexographic and Digital Printing

· Design or modify creative design, typesetting, color separations, photo preparation, color correction, die creation, trapping, bleeding, UPC, overall functionality of the art, job specifications, and proofing.

· Forward completed proof to appropriate person(s)

· Production of ripped files for plate making: distortion, stepping and repeating, addition of tracking bars and color blocks, plate identification and ripping files

· Creation of plate documentation/plate envelopes

· Plate Making

· Assist Customer Service with job prep for incoming artwork

· Assist Sales Department with developing of sales pieces

· Maintain Acceptable Attendance per the Repacorp Employee Attendance Policy

· Follows all Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) Standards

· Follows all Good Manufacturing Policy (GMP) Standards

Needed Competencies

· Experience and Knowledge of Graphic Editing, Workflows and Software

· Experience with Screen Printing and all artwork associated with screen printing

· Must be proficient in Adobe CS Illustrator and Photoshop

· Familiar with Mac and PC operating systems

· Experience with Excel

· Organized and Timely

· Works independently and with others as a team

· Excellent Quality Skills

· Professional interaction with all other Repacorp employees and management

· High attention to detail

· Energetic and productive: takes initiative

· Flexible to the work environment

Work Environment

While performing job duties, this employee will spend a large percentage of day sitting at a computer in an office environment. There could be a small percentage of daily duties that entail time spent on the production floor where there would be exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and a loud noise level.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position requires sitting, walking, and bending throughout the day. There could be lifting requirements of up to 35 lbs.

Education Requirements

1. High School diploma or equivalent

Preferred Education and Experience

1. 1 year of Graphic Artist and/or Prepress experience

2. Associates Degree
