Position Overview

The Human Resources Representative is responsible for the day-to-day leadership of employee recruitment, coordinating the interviewing processes, hiring, and onboarding processes of new employees. Additionally, the Human Resource Representative enforces all applicable policies, practices, safety program, and resolution of employee conflicts.

Key responsibilities include:

  • A high level of written and verbal communication.
  • Proper reporting of incidents and accidents related to Worker’s Compensation.
  • Initial training of new employees.
  • Obtaining initial documentation for new hire packets.
  • Maintaining personnel files.
  • Maintaining appropriate staffing levels while working closely with job superintendents.
  • Completing background checks and coordinating drug screens on employees.
  • Maintaining MSHA/OSHA certifications.
  • On-site visits and maintaining compliance with Safety Meetings.
  • IT knowledge with contracting software is a plus.
  • Disciplinary action documentation up to and including terminations.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources.
  • Experience in lieu of Education is considered.
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and compliance with all local and federal statutes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Bidding Software preferred.
  • Organizational and Time Management Skills.
  • Ability to manage and deescalate difficult employee engagement.
  • Background check.

  • Base salary plus opportunity for monthly bonus program.
