Job purpose

The Junior I&C Engineer is a developmental role to assist I&C Engineering with project development at the design, procurement, installation, start up, and operational phases. The role is intended for recent college graduates (less than 3 years engineering experience) to provide on the job training and exposure to the I&C Discipline. The I&C development program is intended to provide the Junior Engineer with the knowledge to obtain their Professional Engineering license when they have completed the employment requirements. It is highly desired that candidates have completed their EIT examination or be actively preparing for it.

The Junior I&C Engineer will be utilized by other I&C Engineers throughout the project lifecycle to assist with project deliverables and milestones. This includes design engineering, procurements, programming, installation, commissioning, start up, and operations. The selected candidate may expect continually increasing responsibilities and difficulties of tasks based upon previously demonstrated competencies.

SinnovaTek intends to support the Junior Engineer during the developmental program with on the job training and opportunities for career growth. The selected candidate will have to put forth a level of effort on their own time over the course of the program to obtain the bank of knowledge required to pass the Professional Engineering exam.

This role requires periodic travel (10-15% travel), including international travel, during system installation and commissioning.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a full time employee. One year of experience is required for recent graduates who earned honors in their academic career.
  • Previous experience in industry/construction preferred but not required.
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering with a GPA of 3.0 or better.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
