Production 2 – Operator assistant

Packaging Resources Company is currently seeking full-time Operator Assistant for our pallet department to join our company in Tualatin, OR. This is an excellent opportunity to join our manufacturing facility and complement our team!

Duties:

• Determine job requirements on crates to be produced.
• Read route sheet and blue prints
• Reads and verifies routes instructions
• Proof the route sheet for completeness and accuracy
• Locate and pull materials required to complete job
• Produce the product from the Bill of Materials (BOM), which accompanies the blueprint and describes the production procedure.
• Matches order number of incoming materials to order number on worksheet.
• Measures dimensions of incoming material with measuring tape.
• Enters order information into computer machine.
• Uses hand tools and measurements yield foam material.
• Cut and skive material and stage for next machine center.
• Monitors quality of incoming materials.
• Fills out finished count information on routes.
• Enters production data into computer at the end of a run
• Notify supervisor of any material or mechanical issues.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Perform other related duties and assignments as required

Education/Skills/Knowledge:

• Ability to work individually and as a team member.
• Experience using a variety of tools, staple/nail guns, glue rollers, power screw driver, drill press, chop saw, band saw, (required) tape measure.
• Ability to read and follow directions.
• Mechanical aptitude to operate machines.
• Forklift operating skills preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, twist, crouch and kneel as required.
• Job requires ability to stand and walk throughout the shift. Work is performed in a warehouse environment.
