Job Description :

Miller's Ale House is seeking a highly capable NOC Analyst to support our network operations center during off hours and weekends. This position will be remote, with occasional time in our Orlando headquarters. You will be diagnosing and resolving network issues, maintaining our network infrastructure, and collaborating with our IT team to enhance our network's performance. To ensure success as a NOC technician, you should demonstrate a solid knowledge of network infrastructure and experience in a similar role. A top-notch NOC technician will be someone whose expertise results in a stable, fast, supported, and secure network environment.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain LAN user documentation including hardware/software applications, support logs and other related information.
  • Research and recommend network and server hardware and software.
  • Monitor usage to ensure security of data and access privileges; installs, support, support and maintain both physical and virtual network servers and appliances.
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot the Storage Area Network (SAN).
  • Research, analyze, monitor, troubleshoot and resolve server or data network problems.
  • Monitoring network servers and provide internet and intranet user support and specialized training.
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and consulting with vendors and clients for hardware/software purchases, product services and support; recommend and specify the purchase of related products and services.
  • Collaborating with the IT team on the development and maintenance of network infrastructure.
  • Providing technical end-user support, performing troubleshooting, and resolving network issues.
  • Maintaining internet domains and enhancing intranet performance.
  • Running diagnostic tests on the communication between computers, routers, modems and servers.
  • Installing, configuring, and updating networking accessories for end-users.
  • Optimizing server capacity and performance to keep up with demand in network traffic.
  • Providing on-site field technicians with remote technical support.
  • Enhancing network security, as well as documenting network processes, repairs and cabling layouts.
  • Keeping informed of advancements in network infrastructure and technologies.
  • Patching of network and server systems

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information science, or specialization in network engineering.
  • Three (3) plus years of Network Operations Center experience
  • Three (3) plus years of experience working with firewalls, routers, and switches.
  • Strong customer service skills
  • High energy level required to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, Routing, VPN, LAN/WAN topologies, Active Directory, backups, and disaster recovery
  • Ability to work in a team environment with a variety of professionals while also working independently, with minimal supervision.
  • Certified Cisco, Fortinet, CompTIA, or Microsoft network professional certifications preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of network technologies, connectivity, protocols, and security.
  • Superb analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Great interpersonal, communication, and collaboration abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • On-call availability outside of business hours to resolve urgent network issues.
  • Ability to work after hours shifts and weekends as part of the Operations Center role.
