Join us! Pediatrics West is seeking a full-time experienced Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to support our Groton, MA location. Pediatrics West is a private independent practice that has been offering the highest quality Pediatric care from birth through young adults for the past 40 years, with affiliations to local hospitals. As Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or PA at Pediatrics West you role is to provide comprehensive care to newborns through young adults and work collaboratively in a team unit with your own patient panel and support staff.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide well child care and prevention/management of common pediatric acute illnesses and chronic conditions
• Support optimal health of children within the context of their family, community, and environmental setting
• Performing initial examinations, including physical exams and patient observations for both well and sick visits
• Ordering and administering diagnostic tests
• Vaccination management
• Administer medications or minor procedures
• Create a treatment plan or coordinate follow-up medical care
• Educate family members on treatment options

QUALIFICATIONS:

• In-depth knowledge and experience in pediatric primary health care
• Minimum of two years of clinical pediatric NP experience
• EPIC experience preferred
• Mental Health and GYN experience
• Master's degree in nursing required
• Completion of an accredited educational program for pediatric nurse practitioners required
• Current license to practice as a RN in Massachusetts with authorization by the Board of Registration in Nursing to practice in an expanded role
• Registered with the ANCC or other accrediting organization for NPs
• Registered with the State of Massachusetts and DEA for prescription writing privileges
• Current BLS Certification
