Responsibilities

GOVCIO is seeking a Software Engineer/Developer with a SECRET clearance to support a highly visible fast paced prime contract Alexandria, VA for a DOD customer. Our program is looking for candidates with a strong mission focus to support business applications in an Azure cloud environment. The developer shall possess the necessary skills required to lead, oversee, and implement an end-to-end solution including (but not limited to) accessing existing datasets, developing new applications, and performing analytic functions and exposing analytic results to the users.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's with 12+ years (or commensurate experience)
• At least 12 years of general experience in computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, or a related discipline
• Provide technical direction for 28-person team, eight software application maintenance projects (and some new development projects), software process - Agile and DEVSECOPS
• At least 5 years of experience in software-intensive projects and programs for government or industry customers.
• At least 5 years of the experience must have been as a lead software engineer supporting software architecture development, requirement analysis, process execution and evaluation, selection, and evaluation of COTS/GOTS tools, and integration (with both new and existing systems).
• A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related discipline may be substituted for 4 years of general experience. A master's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related discipline, may be substituted for an additional two (2) years of general experience.

Required Qualifications

• Strong Java Development Experience
• Cloud development experience
• 2 years of Azure development experience
• C#, asp.net and SQL development experience
• Experience in migrating legacy client-server applications to the cloud
• Knowledge of Microsoft active directory, directory services authentication protocols
• US secret clearance required
