General Description:

The Quality Control Technician will ensure that our products and services meet all necessary requirements before they reach the consumer.

Department: Quality

Supervisor: Quality Manager

Essential Job Functions:

· Inspect final product and compare measurements to requirements.

· Approve cosmetic finishes by conducting visual verifications.

· Approve conforming products and reject nonconforming products.

· If possible, return products for re-work, and communicate recommended machine adjustments to Production Supervisor.

· Document inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into our quality database.

· Keep accurate documentation and perform statistical analysis for the sales organization to solicit feedback that requirements are met.

· Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.

· Ensure others adhere to health and safety guidelines.

· Review specifications for products or processes and discuss recommended changes with the Quality Manager.

· Position will provide guidance and feedback to production and other staff members.

· Assist in all product development to identify deviations from quality standards.

· Accomplish quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

· Fully understand quality objectives with a goal of zero defects.

· Ability to read and interpret Set-Up Sheets.

· Enforce standard operating procedures (SOP's).

· Perform other duties as required by management.

· All other assigned duties.

Skills and Qualifications:

Required:

· 1 to 2+ years Quality Inspection experience.

· Excellent organizational and leadership skills.

· Strong problem-solving skills.

· Detailed-oriented.

· Make a conscious effort at high quality, dependability, and output daily.

· Good verbal and written communication skills.

· Ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision as well as a team.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Preferred:

· Prior inspection experience in plastic extrusion manufacturing.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
