Job Description :

1. Perform research and internal reporting activities, including identifying research questions,
designing and administering surveys, collecting or compiling data, analyzing data, interpreting findings to help make sense of the information, and reporting findings.
2. Develop reports to share with various constituencies and responds to ad-hoc data requests.
3. Compile and tabulate routine and scheduled statistics and reporting
4. Develop, maintain, publish and update data dashboards, annual reports, strategic reports and data and information presented on the department website to report on program and institutional effectiveness.
5. Produce reports, charts, tables, graphs, and presentations synthesizing research/outcomes.
6. Utilize a variety of visualization tools such as Excel, SPSS, Power BI, PowerPoint or Tableau to present information to college personnel in order to facilitate institutional decision-making.
7. Query, create, and maintain working datasets from an ERP/student information system (e.g., Ellucian Colleague, Entrensik Informer, etc).
8. Conduct statistical analysis by using software (e.g., SPSS, R), relational databases, syntax/programming and reporting technologies.
9. Maintain the integrity of data sources, documentation and reports
10. Translate quantitative data into usable information for planning, assessment, and other purposes.
11. Work collaboratively across units in auditing existing processes to identify opportunities for process improvement and to increase the efficiency, accuracy, and consistency of regular and ad hoc reporting.
12. Support the College’s data governance efforts by proactively identifying data issues and working collaboratively in the implementation of effective data management practices and procedures supporting student success, continuous improvement and institutional effectiveness.
13. Comply with all safety, fire, and smoking regulations.
14. Complete all mandatory compliance and safety training as scheduled by Human Resources.
15. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
1. A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited higher education institution in Computer Science,
Statistics, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business, or other relevant discipline with 3 years of experience. Master’s in data analytics, statistics, mathematics, computer science, or similar preferred.
2. A minimum of 3 years work experience in data analysis, programming, or a combination of work-related experience.
3. Proficiency with merging large and complex data sets using data merge software such as SPSS, or other relevant software.
4. Experience producing data visualizations; Tableau Desktop Certified Associate, preferred.
5. Proven working knowledge of Survey Monkey, Qualtrics or another comprehensive survey administration platform.
6. Experience with developing reports using Informer or other report writer software.
7. Computer literacy in Microsoft Office-Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point.
8. Advanced Microsoft Excel experience (i.e., pivot tables, cross tab queries, ODBC).
9. Ability to work individually as well as part of a team and ability to communicate with wide variety of stakeholders, including technical and non-technical personnel.
10. Strong analytical skills, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
11. Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously and follow through all phases to completion.
12. Commitment to confidentiality and ethical data practices.
13. Knowledge of Visual Basic for Application (VBA) and Java Script preferred.

The Institutional Research Analyst provides technical leadership and support for data-centric programming and mining, data visualizations, and report writing, to facilitate a culture of data-informed decision-making. The role of the Institutional Research Analyst is to help the Institutional Research and Planning (IR&P) Office achieve its mission to have a tangible impact on institutional planning and policy formation at Camden County College and to be an active partner in the diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) work at the institution. As such, one of the goals of the analyst is to provide data in a user-friendly format to help guide and inform the decision-making process and to provide data to measure the impact of DEI initiatives aimed at eliminating achievement gaps. The analyst will also support the development, management and reporting required to evaluate operational outcomes and institutional effectiveness in support of the strategic plan and initiatives. The successful candidate will help collect, validate, process, and report institutional data, and will work with a variety of campus stakeholders.
