This position requires a talented and passionate individual to lead the Raymour Financial Statement close process. The Accountant is responsible for coordination and completion of accounting journal entries and reconciliations to ensure an accurate and timely close. Involves preparation, analysis, interpretation and maintenance of financial reporting processes. We are seeking an individual who can bring their past experiences to assist us in updating and streamlining our processes and procedures.
Essential Responsibilities:

• Gathering and understanding data to calculate and process journal entries
• Monitor and Lead the GL close process
• Prepare monthly financial statement package
• Analyze and record capital asset acquisitions and depreciation.
• Identify, investigate, and analyze financial variances
• Maintain multiple prepaid and accrual schedules
• Reconcile various general ledger accounts
• Prepare and file personal property returns for multiple entities
• Cross train on various department positions
• Create and maintain department Policy and Procedure Manuals
• Assist in the Company's annual audit with the independent auditors
• Prepare special projects and analysis as required
• Lead projects to streamline processes and tighten controls
• Create relationships with various leaders to enhance understanding of various accounting areas
• Adhere to privacy and confidential and proprietary company policies and procedures
• As required by changing business needs, complete additional responsibilities as assigned

Education:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting.
Experience & Background:
Minimum of 5 years previous accounting experience required. Public accounting experience a plus. NetSuite, Oracle or SAP experience a plus. Previous general ledger experience required.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
• Mastery of analyzing financial data, reports, and documents
• Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and flexibility to change

• Ability to maintain relationships with accounting staff and other departments
• Detail oriented
• Maintain total regard for strict confidentiality
