Overall Purpose: The ecommerce advanced analytics team is looking for senior level analysts to join our omni-channel analytics team to help deliver insights about the customer journey to the ecommerce business team. This position analyzes data from multiple sources including data lakes, internal/external data sources, data warehouses, etc. This person will have the opportunity to use predictive modeling, statistics, NLP, trend analysis, and other analysis techniques to wrangle, explore, and explain what is observed or predict customer behavior. The goal is to solve a variety of business problems, build business cases, and improve customer experience.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Data visualization, dashboard automation, and storytelling to support decision making (Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib, etc…)

Data wrangling and engineering (Palantir, Databricks, Snowflake, AWS Azure, etc…)

Gather, analyze, and interprets a wide variety of data to identify causal relationships, trigger points and ultimately make predictions.

Build predictive models, tests the model on results outside of the sample set, and validate the model in real world scenarios

Consult on A|B and multi variate testing

Uses traditional modeling techniques to build models that support business cases. Develops reports, charts, tables, and other visual aids in support of findings.

Advise business partners about patterns and relationships in data to recommend business direction or outcomes.

Gives requirements for data capture and data engineering needs for ecommerce as well as omni channel efforts

Job Contribution:

Senior level technical expertise.

Deep technical knowledge and subject matter expert on ecommerce and analytical tools / techniques.

Education: Bachelors degree (or equivalent experience) from an accredited University in a Quantitative field of study such as Data Science, Math, Statistics, Engineering or Physics. Master degree in a quantitative field of study or equivalent experience is a plus.

Experience:

5-8 years analytical experience (preferably in ecommerce).

Supervisory: No.
