PES Service Manager

This individual will be responsible for managing the day to day operations of the company’s service department. In addition to the supervisory duties, the Service Manager will also be responsible for performing some troubleshooting and repair of industrial electronic controls.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise industrial electronic and servo motor technicians
• Responsible for the quality, production and profitability of the repair department
• Oversee all aspects of the repair process to ensure timely turnaround of repair work
• Repair industrial electronic controls (AC/DC drives, PLCs, controllers, circuit boards, etc.)
• Oversee field service calls and coordination
• Identify and recommend new repair capabilities and other potential repair related income streams for the company.
• Recommend training classes for technicians as needed
• Coordinate with executive management and other departments to achieve the necessary goals of the company

Job Requirements

• Thorough understanding of electronic theory and industrial electronic controls
• Ability to supervise a technical workforce
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial electronic controls to the component level
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to multitask
• Proficient in creating documents using Microsoft Word
• Proficient in creating spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel
• Very strong computer skills
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds

Education & Experience

• 2-year technical degree or equivalent military training
• 10 years experience troubleshooting and repair of industrial electronic controls
• 5 years of management experience
• Past experience working in a production environment
• Experience working with a database on a daily basis
• Experience using Microsoft Access a plus
