Job Description:

SIOS Technology Corp. is seeking talented Software Engineer Interns to join our fast-paced, agile and fun engineering team at the R&D office located on the University of South Carolina campus (Columbia, SC). As an intern, you will work within our core engineering team on one or more projects that contribute both to our product and to your learning goals.

Under supervision, you will be working on Automation and DevOps to improve engineering team productivity. The work will include, but is not limited to, automating the following:

• Building a CICD (Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment) pipeline workflow
• Setup of test environments
• Unit, smoke and regression tests

What we look for:

• Strong coding, problem-solving, and debugging skills
• Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals gained through a current pursuit of Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. degree in computer science, math or related discipline.
• Excellent communication skills

Working knowledge of the following technical areas:

• Programming in Windows and/or Linux environments
• A scripting language such as Perl, PowerShell or Python
• Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud) and CI/CD tools (such as Jenkins, TeamCity or TravisCI) will be an additional advantage

Eligibility for Internship:

• Currently enrolled in college or university pursuing Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in computer science, math, or related discipline.
  
• You are planning to return to school for the fall semester in 2023 (at least a junior-year level).
• You live in an area where you can drive to our R&D office located in Columbia, SC.

Where do you work?

• You can work from your home or our office in Columbia, SC (on the UofSC campus). However, you will be asked to come to the office from time to time for meetings.
