Job Summary

Treasury Manager manages day-to-day activities in the treasury functions to meet Avantor’s financial obligations. Performs treasury activities related to cash flow, borrowings, debt and capital management. Avantor’s Treasury Manager allocates cash balances, maintains investment records, and prepares expenses and cash forecasts. Ensures all actions are following Avantor’s Corporate Treasury Policy, DOA and local regulation.

As a key leader in the global Treasury organization, the position will be responsible for independently managing the following:

• Understand, manage, and supervise all aspects of liquidity management.
• Forecast daily cash requirements and execute daily financing decisions.
• Prepare or monitor company’s various cash forecasts and cash positioning.
• Evaluate, develop and implement cash management systems to optimize efficiencies.
• Understand and manage appropriate accounting procedures and processes.
• Manage relationships with financial service providers.
• Monitor bank service fees and address quality issues.
• Independently maintain and expand the use of the Treasury workstation
• Administer electronic banking systems
• Administer global multi-currency netting system
• Issue letters of credit to support business needs
• Oversee the administration of the Corporate Card program
• Financing regional legal entities in a tax efficient manner
• Regional Foreign Exchange management
• Working Capital Governance
• Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education/Training, Experience and Certifications)

• At least 7+ years finance experience with at least 3 years in Treasury or Treasury related role
• Implemented and Administered Treasury workstation. SAP Treasury is preferred.
• Undergraduate education in highly analytical degree program
• Experience in some of the treasury activities described above
• Planning and analysis experience

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Those necessary to perform the job competently)

• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong negotiation skills
• Strong working knowledge of MS Excel (PowerPoint a plus)
• Self-motivated and organizationally-effective individual
• Full understanding of global capital markets
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
• Ability to travel internationally
