Primary Job Function

• Coordinate and monitor daily operations of Plymouth & Brockton’s bus service.
• May be required to drive the bus, in case of driver emergencies, bus swaps, etc. so a Class B CDL license with passenger and air brake endorsement is required.

Qualifications

• Must have extreme attention to detail.
• Transportation and/or dispatch experience preferred. Technical background a plus.
• Supervisory experience is needed.
• Ability to work independently without constant supervision and be able to make independent decisions.
• Ability to work under pressure and problem solve.
• Must understand, interpret, apply laws, rules, regulations and policies.
• Ability to learn and monitor bus-based communication technology applications.
• Must be able to be flexible with schedule, days, and locations. Some weekends and holidays required.
• Requires strong customer service/people skills and a professional demeanor, with a positive attitude, and ability to work with driver’s, staff, and customers.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Reviews daily driver assignment boards, monitors and adjusts daily operations.
• Oversees, reviews, and/or assigns equipment utilization.
• Inspects, and verifies attendance reporting.
• Arranges for emergency coverage of line runs.
• Notifies appropriate personnel in case of Operator emergencies and disruptions or cancellations of service.
• Reviews complaints and conducts factual investigations, and recommends appropriate course of action
• Ensures that all supervisor and driver activities are completed properly (driver logs, passenger count, etc.)
• Maintains and is responsible for operational compliance with key sector regulatory agencies.
• Assists with accident and safety program.
• Oversees drivers and resolves driver issues and requests.
• Makes sure all company policies and procedures are being adhered to.
• Class B CDL with Passenger & Air Brake endorsement.
• Applicant should be flexible to work either days, evenings, and weekends, per scheduling.
