Milton Art Center is a nonprofit community art center in Milton, MA. We are a creative, collaborative and inclusive organization focused on the importance of the visual arts in our daily and community life.

Teaching Artist – Community Art Center

The Milton Art Center is currently seeking visual artists with teaching experience to teach children, ages 3.9-5 years and 6-12 years during the school year and summer camp.

The ideal candidate:

• Would have a bachelors or masters degree in the visual arts or equivalent experience
• Experience as a teaching artist in a classroom/community setting
• Able to design creative, fun, and thoughtful age appropriate projects/classes
• Knowledge in drawing, painting, clay, mixed media, sculpture, fiber arts, etc.
• Excellent communication skills with strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills
• Ability to articulate critical thinking and other creative processes in the arts
• Dependable, organized, prompt, flexible, kind, team player
• Ability to foster respect, diversity and inclusion in the classroom.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $35.00 per hour
