Position Summary:

Stock master with strong eye for detail, good with numbers, and ability to multitask. Must also ensure efficient processes to promptly resolve any problems or discrepancies that arise during the shipping and receiving process. Reports directly to the Warehouse Manager to ensure item inventories are correct and are replenished as needed; is the “engine” of our inbound and outbound department, leads and maintains compliance with food-grade warehousing requirements and policies. Is responsible for verifying, organizing, and maintaining incoming shipments, raw material rotation and finish product quality. Other duties would include administrative work and secondary tasks to ensure the accuracy of stock information. Coordinates material staging and planning to serve the needs of the production operations and external customers. Collaborates with superintendents to ensure production objectives are achieved. Assists the warehouse manager to supervises the receiving and cooler teams and support the transportation staff to ensure orders and loading delivery time are met. Hours are Tuesday - Saturday - 4:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Overtime as needed.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with procurement staff to list expected deliveries.

  • Identify inaccuracies in Bills of Material (BOM) that create incorrect depletions, assist process improvement teams in solutions.
  • Manages accurate records warehouse inventory and maintains database, performing daily/ weekly/ monthly/ yearly cycle counts
  • Coordinates and schedules the movement of products throughout the warehouse including storage and shipment of finished products.
  • Implements daily production and shipping plan, arranging for excess stock to be stored in warehouse.
  • Manages daily flow of inbound products by modifying storage space assignments.
  • Confirms availability of items to be use by verifying inventory records or conducting inventories of required items.
  • Identifies and reports slow-moving product and with approval, arranges for the removal of the product.
  • Coordinates forklift drivers and material handlers to store goods in identified areas.
  • Manually handles, repacks, or restacks pallets of finished product as needed.
  • Operates forklift truck, Package, and ship core returns as needed.
  • Documents all related activities and completes forms and reports.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all internal customers and partnering business units.
  • Receive and organize all incoming freight for the branch in an accurate and timely matter.
  • Unpack, check-in, count, verify and scan barcodes on all received freight, and compares packing lists to purchase orders, ensuring accurate deliveries.
  • Stock product in shelves as needed in correct fashion; making sure items are sorted in bins, well-marked and neat.
  • Performs other related duties as directed.

Qualifications

· Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

· Spanish (Preferred) Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the Spanish language

· Excellent analytical skills and ability to make sound judgments relative to inventory

· Excellent communication (verbal and written), organizational skills, attention to detail

· High comfort level with computers and navigating a variety of systems

· Basic understanding of or ability to quickly learn company product codes and terminology

· Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures

· Exceptional team player to work well as a member of a group

· Superb leader to inspire teammates to follow them
