The Position Offered:

We need a paralegal to handle a wide variety of nonimmigrant visa types, including H1B, H1B1, L1, O1, E2, E1, TN, and E3. We also handle a smaller number of family-based petitions. This position is suited for a knowledgeable paralegal capable of jumping right into a case and keeping both the attorney and client on track.

Duties include:

• Actively managing case progress to make sure the attorney and client are on track to meet deadlines.
• Taking the lead on communication with clients regarding document collection.
• Drafting support letters based on case strategy provided by the attorney.
• Meticulously proof-reading forms.
• Keeping clients up-to-date with case milestones.
• Reviewing physical filings assembled by a legal assistant.

Requirements:

• You must be a proactive self-starter comfortable jumping in and learning as you go. We will provide you with training resources and support, but you must be comfortable with self-study.
• 5+ years of experience with nonimmigrant visas
• Clear, friendly written and verbal communication skills that will make clients feel comfortable over the phone or email.
• Ability to proactively issue spot and manage your cases.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Team-minded attitude. We are a small, respectful, and collaborative group of professionals across all levels.
• Ability to learn a number of different software platforms we use for various aspects of our work.
