LOCATION: Santa Clara, California, USA
ONSITE: This role requires the student to work from the LOCATION office throughout the duration of the Co-op/Intern term. First time Co-ops/Interns should work full-time and onsite.
PROGRAM TERM:
This role is for Summer and Fall terms. 2023 dates are as follows:
- Summer: Start Date May 22, 2023, or June 5th – August 11, 2023
- Fall: Start Date August 14 or August 21, 2023 – December 15, 2023
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
- In this role you will participate in developing end-to-end machine learning-based solutions for camera and computer vision applications running on AMD Edge platforms
- Work closely with HW and SW teams and get your hands on a broad range of activities from solution design, software development, to optimization and deployment for Edge platforms
- Measure, analyze, and optimize power and performance for both application and system software/hardware stack
- The work will involve hands-on and industry-grade practical Machine Learning and software development at a large scale with industry experts, and it will lay out a solid foundation for your career in the field of AIML and software development
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficiency in C/C++ and/or Python programming
- Solid understanding of Machine Learning concepts
- Background in one of the following fields: computer vision, computer architecture, algorithm design
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
WHAT WOULD SET YOU APART:
- Background in working with TensorRT, PyTorch, TensorFlow or other ML frameworks.
- Experience in working with ML stack for Edge/Mobile devices
- Experience in GPGPU compute using CUDA or OpenCL.
- Experience in software performance benchmarking, profiling, and optimizations.
- Experience in developing computer vision algorithms using OpenCV and/or Deep Learning approaches

- Strong in technical writing and presentation skills
- Students pursuing a Bachelor (3+ year), Masters or PhD program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
