Job Description :
As part of the Space Group engineering team, you will have the opportunity to assist in software development and architecture creation in support of Air Force, Space Force, IC and DoD customers. Space Group supports US Government customers locally and from around the country with leading-edge technologies, utilizing government, commercial and open-source tools.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program with an anticipated graduation in computer science, computer engineering, or relevant technical degree
- Solid understanding of software development and best practices
- Willingness to learn and be a part of a team
- US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a security clearance
- Consistent attention to detail
Required Experience
- Experience in full-stack software development with React, Python, TypeScript/JavaScript or related technologies
- Experience with Git or similar version control systems
- Desire to solve complex systems engineering problems using standard systems engineering methodologies
- Willingness to learn DevSecOps tools and practices, including Docker, Kubernetes and related technologies
- Ability to comprehend complex technical problems where capabilities are affected by technical achievability, affordability, and schedule
- Desire to extend systems models into other tools and creating digital models and simulations
- Experience with architecting solutions from user requirements and use cases
Desired Experience
- Familiarity with Linux and/or WSL2
- Experience with Jira or similar project management software
- Experience in supporting government customers
- Ability to obtain a security clearance
- Ability to analyze architecture and engineering data to solve complex problems, recommend solutions, and improve products and processes
